DG deals in various kinds of fabrics, blankets and also different seasonal products whose demand is quite static and predictable. There are many buyers and suppliers which results in low bargaining power due to which both buyers and suppliers can easily change their business associates. This results in high threat of substitutes and high competitive rivalry (Potter’s 5 Force Model).  Also, similar firms are competing for the same pie in the market (distributive bargaining) and they tend to follow a zero sum game.
